Mika Jain is the Assistant Director, Education Partnerships at The Goldie Hawn Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation, Mika was on the instructional team of a founding KIPP school in South Los Angeles, where she built out the visual arts curriculum and socio-emotional learning program. Prior to teaching at KIPP Ignite Academy, Mika was a Teach For America (TFA) corps member in Chicago, where she worked in a head start preschool school in southside Chicago. During her TFA commitment, Mika completed her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education with English as a Second Language. Mika has a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
