MindUP training and support is designed to enable whole school implementation and long term impact. All school personnel, parents/carers and the wider school community are involved to help develop a mindful culture where children can thrive & be happy.

Our framework provides knowledge and understanding of neuroscience, mindful awareness, positive psychology and mindful practices to affect positive change both within the classroom and beyond, including MindUP at home.

Guided by an expert consultant, your ethos and culture is transformed by applying and embedding MindUP throughout the whole school.

Our 3 term professional learning and development model enables your team to:

  • develop their knowledge and understanding of Neuroscience, Mindful Awareness and Positive Psychology

  • teach the ambitious concepts, skills and practices of MindUP lessons with confidence

  • apply MindUP pedagogical approaches across the curriculum

  • model MindUP practices throughout the school day

  • engage with parents to support wellbeing and academic outcomes for their children

CREATE A POSITIVE SCHOOL-WIDE CULTURE AND CLIMATE

  • When can we start?

    Training can start at any point during the academic year

  • What's included?

    Training and support over 3 terms. MindUP curriculum teaching guides, 'Brain Break' chimes, parent workshops and digital resources

  • Who will support us?

    Includes your own certified consultant for 3 terms

  • How do we measure impact?

    Monitoring and evaluation processes are in place to track progress, measure impact and action plan for the future

Overview of the 3 Term Model of Training and Support

TERM ONE

Introducing MindUP

A 1 day professional development on-site workshop, introducing the 4 foundations and the 15 lessons of the programme.

TERM TWO

Developing MindUP

A bespoke development and training day that focuses on the successes and challenges of implementation. The after school staff workshop provides guidance to further embed MindUP into teaching and learning.

TERM TWO

MindUP At Home

A 1-hour parent workshop on day 2, providing parents and carers with information on the benefits of MindUP and how to apply some of the tools at home to support the whole family.

TERM THREE

Reviewing and Planning for MindUP in Year 2

Using impact tools, your link consultant will lead an end of year review and signpost actions for year 2 of implementation.
